President and Managing Partner

Queenie Nair is President and Managing Partner of Nine North Consulting. She leads the boutique organization for bilateral international business development and economic intelligence.

She has influenced the revamping of NNC and has established and leads NNC Vantage, the firm’s knowledge platform for economic and market intelligence as well as business forums.

A professional in international trade and business development, Queenie’s past roles include Director of International Alliances and PR at the Economic Times-ET Edge; Director Operations at Smart Cities Council; Wholetime Director to All India Association of Industries (AIAI) simultaneously she has also held the roles of Director to Indo Polish Chamber of Commerce and Director of Indo Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industries. And was actively involved in setting up the Russia-India Trade House Mumbai. She has worked and was closely associated with the World Trade Centre Mumbai. Her professional collaborations have led to a combination of prominent networks comprising of Governments, industry, global trade organizations and businesses across the globe.

Queenie was nominated as advisor on several ministry committees representing trade and industry, including the Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Labour & Employment as well as on several leading world forums including the Mission led by Indian (MoL&E) Ministry of Labour and Employment, GOI to the International Labour Conference at the United Nations (UNO), Geneva to represent Employers on the Committee for Employment and Decent Work and on Global Value Chains, including the Global Forum for Migration Development at the United Nations Organization in New York

All through her distinguished career Queenie has worked on various editions of some of the world’s most prestigious platforms for international business and trade development including Delhi Dialogue by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, the United Nations Organization in Geneva and New York, the International Labour Organization and the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva as well as the Global Economic Summit and the Economic Times Global Business Summit to name a few.

Queenie has studied Business Management with the Prin. L.N. Wellingkar Institute of Management Development and Specialization in Global Business Strategy - The Global Economy with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

A staunch believer in development of positive people networks and cross-cultural communication. She specialises in strategically promoting international trade, investment and business development and specially formulates strategic platforms for exchange of market and business intelligence for industries, governments and key stakeholders from across the globe.

She spearheads prominent projects that require a combination of public and regulatory affairs, government and public relations as well as trade and economic policies. Having worked across all industry sectors and verticals including SMEs and industry cluster development. Her global experiences have strengthened her ability to identify opportunities for business and investments.
